Meeting
Minutes for Saturday, July 14, 2007
The meeting
was held at White's shop in Kennewick, WA.
President
Dave Pellicer called the meeting to order at 1:05pm.
Treasurer's
report: $1,463 in checking; $37 in petty cash.
Old Business:
The Lathe Survey is now on the club website under Documents after Login.
New Business:
4 x 6 Redwood is available in the Seattle area for $5.00/Bd Ft. Contact Dave or Jerry.
Jack deVos,
an Australian Woodturner (http://jackdevos.com) will be in the US, on the West
Coast in early 2008, from March 25 through April 19, traveling from LA to
Seattle. His demo/instruction fee is
$400/day plus some travel expense. Club
members are to consider if he is to be scheduled for an instructional session.
Club members
also are considering having Molly Winton (Seattle area) for a demonstration. She demonstrated bowl decoration at the AAW
Symposium for several sessions (pyrography).
Ron Gerton is
tentatively scheduled as the demonstrator for the August meeting (bronze
casting). Ed Glenn offered demos in
either August or September.

Tell: Several members brought items for
Show & Tell:
A general
discussion was led by Jerry Johnson soliciting AAW Symposium input from those
members that attended.
Meeting
adjourned 2:30pm.
